What Good Moving Water Looks Like

You are always told you need to find moving water, but what does that look like?

What tidelines holding speckled trout look like

If you want to find speckled trout, you have to find moving water.

It is advice that seems so vague and unhelpful but yet we hear all the time. In reality it is the soundest advice out there.

I have never laid waste to speckled trout when the water was standing still.

Yet the one giving the advice assumes everybody knows what moving water looks like and I think that is where this fishing advice goes wrong.

So let me clear things up for you and point you in the right direction. Watch the following video and be sure to play it on the highest resolution possible.

Were fish there?

So you know, we did cast into that moving water and pick up a few trout. It was worth our time investigating and I have since gone back to that spot and caught more speckled trout and redfish.
